On the Horizon

  • RUN … or walk - your choice! Just be there to support the Fowlerville Family Impact Center's annual Sheila Larson Memorial Run for the Impact. This year, the event will be June 6. In-person or virtual. Location of the in-person event will be at the Impact Center (9430 West Grand River).   • The United Way Day of Caring is August 5. But the deadline to submit work requests is June 15 - so get yours in NOW. Projects often include minor home repair, cleaning, and yardwork. Details: livingstoncountyunitedway.org
  • 50+ Livingston Deanery Catholic Council on Aging is hosting a learning event regarding resources in our community. It will be held at the Livingston County Catholic Charities building (2895 West Grand River, Howell 48843) June 22 from 9 AM - 12 Noon. Four topics will be presented: ‘Advanced Directives’, ‘Scams’, ‘Planned Giving’, and ‘Community Resources to Age in Place’. Each presentation is about 20 minutes with Q&A afterward. Additionally, all 4 presentations will begin anew every half hour throughout the whole 9 AM - 12 Noon time frame. The event is free. There will be refreshments. RSVP your intentions to attend no later than June 15 to Jeanette Robinson at 517-803-5454.

Christian Service Summer Office Hours


In order to give our volunteers some R&R, June/July/Aug the Christian Service office will be officially open (only) the 3rd Tuesday of the month. During this time, the Christian Service email (stagnes.christianservice@gmail.com) will be checked several times daily but telephone messages will be checked only 2x weekly on an irregular basis. If you have an emergency need to reach us, please use email! Regular hours resume after Labor Day.
