STUFF THE CAR FULL!

From the look of the first full weekend of the Backpack Boogie, it is an achievable goal! There were bags of school supplies on the table, under the table, around the table, on the adjacent table, and for good measure, there were bags hooked to the CS office door! Very impressive! And Boogie runs thru August 10th, so there is still lots of time to act. Might we suggest all sizes of backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, glue stix/bottles, Post-it notes, binders, erasers, scissors, folders, as well as children’s underwear and sox. Our fearless leaders, Joleen and Michael Rebarchik, are serious = fill their vehicle!

Did You See This?

“Family Impact Center See Historic Demand & Response” This was the headline of an article in the July 6 edition of the Fowlerville News & Views. The St Agnes family is keeping CS busy each week delivering bags of soup, Raman noodles, mac ‘n cheese, and many other items. You rock! Feeding more people than ever and receiving many donations has necessitated FFIC to look for volunteers to help with their operations. They are looking for pantry volunteers (receive/sort food, stock shelves, pack orders), a social media volunteer (create/post content on social media), and a maintenance volunteer (preventative maintenance, small repairs, coordinate with contractors). If you feel the Spirit calling you and have a heart to serve, contact the FFIC (Michael Shafer): pantry@FamilyImpactCenters.com

Senior Dine Program

Are you ready to occasionally sit back and let someone else do the cooking? Well, the Livingston County Meals on Wheels has a deal for seniors! They are partnering with local restaurants in the area to offer a $5 meal to seniors 60 years of age or older. Just call their office for more information and to get enrolled. The telephone number is 810-632-2155. Or you can brave the construction to enroll in person at their office at 11600 Grand River Road, Brighton 48116.

More Greatness from VBS!

Walking with Moms in Need (WWMN) wishes to thank our St Agnes leaders and coordinators of last month's Vacation Bible School for the outpouring of love for their ministry. Walking with Moms in Need is a county-wide initiative sponsored by Livingston County Catholic Charities. Each parish in our county has a chapter where moms in need can call and get real, hands-on assistance. Toward the end of VBS, it was suggested to the children they bring an item to help moms in need. It was reported the children were thrilled to participate - and this picture shows the love which was shared. Congrats parents! You are raising them right!

Hope in a Box:  Need for the month of July - Toilet paper and travel-sized toiletries

Pope's Prayer Intentions for July 2025:  For formation in discernment - Let us pray that we might again learn how to discern, to know how to choose paths of life, and reject everything that leads us away from Christ and the Gospel.

Christian Service Office Hours

We are currently observing our traditional summer office hour schedule during June, July and August: those three months the Christian Service office will be open the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10 AM until 12 Noon. (June 17, July 15 and August 19) Telephone messages will be attended to on an irregular schedule at least twice weekly. It is highly recommended you use email (stagnes.christianservice@gmail.com) during the summer to contact Christian Service as our account will be checked several times daily. Regular Christian Service office hours will resume the Tuesday after Labor Day (September 2).

(Non-summer office hours are Tuesdays from 10 AM-12 Noon. Additionally, the Christian Service email is checked several times a day and telephone messages are checked at least 2x/weekly. If you have a Christian Service "emergency" or if you need a timely reply, it is better to email (stagnes.christianservice@gmail.com) than to leave a voicemail.)

Please contact us if you or someone you know is in need of assistance before things get out of hand.

We are here to assist by listening, giving suggestions and/or direction for avenues of assistance, and helping in other possible ways.
