TRI-FESTA THANK YOUs!
What a fun and enjoyable event and weekend. I first want to say "Thank~you" to each of you who supported our Parish, Father Nate and our Council, each of you had a small hand in making this year's event special and fun.
Let's start off with Saturday and our World Famous Lent Fish Fry Dinner ~ what a fun day, with a huge amount of help we served up the best Tri~Festa Lent Fish Dinner(yes it's only our 2nd one) but this year we enjoyed some positive feedback, lots of compliments and enjoyed some very special snacks along the way throughout the day.
Let me start off with my big thank~you's for Saturday:
Jim Marcinkowski ~ for being my morning partner in crime and getting the day started off right as we got the fish prepped, the dishes washed and getting lunch served up.
Jerry Byrne ~ for being there to get "Ralph's World Famous Coleslaw" ready and helping with everything as the day went along.
Steve Sheldon ~ for being my right hand fish frying man ~ we kept up all day long, frying fish and fries.
Louie and Joe Parker ~ for being my runners and keeping the food trays full for our dinner guests
Marie Sheridan, Iris Winiarski, Kala Snyder and Liz ~ you ladies made sure that the day was going along and if there was anything that was needed you ladies made the day go by with doing the small things behind the scenes to make the job/day go easier than expected.
John Backhuus ~ for being the Bar Man!!! ~ you kept everyone happy and the drinks flowing!!
Ray Tyle ~ "yes" I did give you the morning off(and it will be the last time) and "no I didn't fire you!!!! 😇🤣 ~ thank you for being you and for helping out at the front table greeting guests.
to my wife Heather ~ thank you for being there for us, to help out and make the front table run smoothly, to taking the money to giving us more ideas for next year when we do it all over again.
I know I am forgetting a lot of other behind the scenes family but "Thank You" for everything you did on Saturday.
Now onto Sunday and our Brunch/Omelet Bar
The day started off very early with our Chef Godfather Rich Turner getting to the LPC to start getting everything prepped for the day, then as all of us were showing up the kitchen really started to hustle and bustle and when it was all said and done with ~ "WE" did an amazing job in making fresh omelets for brunch along with pancakes, bacon, tater tots, biscuits, scrambled eggs, and more.
Here are my special thank you's for Sunday:
Scott and Lisa ~ the both of you really did such an amazing job helping out and when we had to scramble for making omelets, Scott jumped right in and worked making them along side Lori ~ the kitchen was moving for sure.
Dan and Lori Mattinson ~ what can I say, our newest Knight family has stepped up and have really been so helpful and today it showed with Dan on the line an Lori helping Rich making the omelets, to do more before I arrived at the LPC.
Iris ~ for making the pancakes ~ yes those puffy yummies were all Iris, and they tasted great!!!!
Marie ~ for everything you did, from running around getting the groceries to putting stuff away to making sure the day went on without a hitch.
Rick and Carol Phillips ~ Thank you for everything you both did over the weekend....we are truly blessed.
Chuck and Mary McFadden ~ Thank you for everything you did today, I didn't have much time to visit with the both of you but I know you were busy as usual.
Al & Lynn Romain
Rick & Debbie Collins ~ Thank you for everything ~ all of the running around on Saturday to non stop action on Sunday.
I know I am forgetting so many other Knights family members ~ today's Brunch would not of been a success without all of your help and dedication to our Council and Parish.
I want to take a moment to thank, Rich Turner....you sir put on a fantastic brunch, you came in early and got everything ready for the day, you put on your "Chef Godfather apron" and cooked away on the line.....Thank you for a very fun day!!
And a very special THANK YOU!!!!
Father Nate ~ where do I start, our very own "Cod Father" ~ thank you for supporting our Council but more importantly being our Pastor and leader of our Parish
May God bless each of you and again thank you for helping out in even the smallest capacity during our Tri~Festa Festival!

Knight of Columbus Council 8605 - 40th Anniversary Celebration Picnic
On August 3rd, we hosted our 40th Anniversary Celebration Picnic (we're actually 41 years old now) ~ under the Pavilion at Church and we had such a great day weather wise and our K of C family enjoyed a fun day visiting old friends, new friends and special guests who attended our event.
We know a few of you were busy with other family functions, or other things that were taking place that day but, I am always about family first!!
We enjoyed burgers, brats, hot dogs and OMG some awesome dishes that were brought to pass for us to enjoy ~ I for one am a pork and bean snob and the 3 crock pots that were brought, I snagged a bunch out of each of them and enjoyed them immensely, Mike and Joleen brought dessert and her molasses cookies are to die for and Larry and Marie brought their world famous corn salad and Dan and Lori brought a yummy pasta salad....well lets just say my plate was empty at the end of dinner time.
We did enjoy some very special guests at our party ~ Worthy SDRR John Yanok and Lady Ruth, FN Paul Funk and Francine and DD Rodger Epp enjoyed the day with us too.
Thank you everyone who supported this day, each of you have a special place in my heart as this day turned out to be a fun blessing and event.
